Man! That’s a clever title!!
So Google recently answered the call of developers for better protection against piracy with the “License Verification Library.”
Basically, it’s a library you can use with your Android Apps to make sure that it was purchased legitimately!
It requires Android 1.5+ and the Android Market to implement and the requirements and limitations don’t seem restraining.

Thumbs up, Google!!
EDIT:
If I was back in the UK, I’d be on this like a rash but since I can’t use my online banking stuff in Turkey, I can’t set up a publishers account with the Android Market.
Ok, boys and girls.
I just wanna write a little and share my thoughts on guidance and the path that we all follow. Let me start by saying I honestly don’t mind what your views are. We’re all products of what our life has taught us and if yours has brought you to think the way you do. How can I be so disrespectful and unsympathetic as to judge what you say and do??
Guidance
We are all guided one way or another. Sometimes, the thought of running from home and living a lawless life can seem very appealing indeed. Let me tell you, boys and girls, when you wake up and smell the coffee, you may see just how bitter it is. Let’s take a child as an example. Say her parent’s don’t really speak to her much and she doesn’t get the moral nourishment she needs. What’s going to happen? At some point, she’s going to have to eat!
She goes to school;
Watches T.V;
Listens to music;
Reads Books;
Plays with friends
and the list goes on. At any of these points, if she feels that she can suppress her hunger, she may do so. If she listens to music about dancing on disco sticks, how nutritious do you think it’s going to be?
What am I trying to say? If your parents really are the kind that want the best for you, then you have no one better to listen to!! It’s simple! No one loves you more then they do and if you worked your whole life, you wouldn’t be able to repay them!! How could you? They loved you before you opened your eyes for the first time!
So. If you have parents that care for you, maybe you should be listening to them more. Who else cares about you that much? Who else thinks about you as much as they do?
I just cut a big portion of this post out. Maybe next time?
Peace and Love!
Nothing has really been happening with my life… Still in Turkey. PEACE!
Hello!
Today has been a very productive day indeed! I started a new Android project. It’s very exciting and has some potential. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get some downloads on the Market and learn from it.
The application will (when followed) guide the user through a training course where by the end of 6 week (or 4 if you’re that good), you’ll be able to do 100 push ups. Happy days.
Progress -
Today, I’ve set the project up and got an XML document to store the user list and details. Then, I parse the file and create “User” object that store the data and create a “UserBook” (shit name but screw you!) that’s essentially an object that stores an Array List of Users and allows access to details of users and manipulation of data.
Tomorrow, I want to set up a nice layout and have each user load up when the app is started so that the end-user can select one.
P.s Remember the problem I had with only having the XML thing to work with ‘new TextView(this)’ and not ‘R.layout.main’ ? Well, I fixed it. Basically, you need to ‘setContentView’ before you manipulate the things on it. What I was doing was doing
‘TextView tv = findViewById(R.id.lol)’
before the setContentView.
Subhan’Allah!!! Istanbul is easily my favourite city in the world now.
I woke up nice and early this morning and ended up coming home at around 10. Walking around the city never got tiring since you’re constantly surprised at every turn!! I now understand why there are so many songs, paintings and poems dedicated to this wonderful place!! I’m in love!
I haven’t done any programming work today but screw you! I can have a day of on my holiday
Let’s see what tomorrow brings!!
Wish I had friends here
Aight, boys and girls! I fixed the last problem I had! I had to (for one reason or another) create a new instance of TextView instead of getting it from a resource ID :S
I’m looking into why I need to do this but right now, I’m happy that I can get XML and display it!!
Peace and Love!
So, at the moment, I’m working on getting an Android app to parse through a raw (local) XML document and extract the data so that I can manipulate it however I will!
I started out looking for some guidance and found THIS (click it). Thinking it’s exactly what I’m looking for, I set out to read it, understand it and apply it. I got through the first 2 but when it came to application on my app (:D) I hit a small but very real brick wall.
IT DIDN’T WORK! I keep getting an error. If you wanna help out, click HERE.
I’ve posted on the AndDev website (CLICK IT!) last night asking for someone to help me. Just recently, a nice fellow led me to read my stack trace and helped me discover that my app was throwing an uncaught NullPointError.
I can’t find what the problem is so I’m just waiting to see if I can get some help
As promised last time, here’s a tune you can listen to!

Okie Dokie, something related to programming. I’m currently working on the Mobile phone OS created by Google called Android.
For anyone interested in learning about android, you can start by downloading the Eclipse IDE, Android SDK and start doing the tutorials. If you have an Android device, I would recommend that you just plug your phone in and run the apps off that instead of using AVD (Android Virtual Device).

More links to tutorials and shit coming soon…?
COMING UP NEXT POST
Links to music, XML tutorials and maybe more. Probably not.
